About Our Venison
Venison is a terrific alternative for other red meat. The animals used to make our venison roam freely in an area of the Karoo some 30 000 hectares in size. The meat is not manipulated in anyway and is free of synthetic hormones or any other form of tampering. Venison is an incredibly lean and flavoursome red meat, containing very little fat, cholesterol or calories. It is a rich source of protein and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways when properly prepared.
At Taste of the Karoo, no stone is left unturned in order to ensure the highest possible quality of venison. The animals used to make our products are professionally harvested; the meat is then properly cooled and handled under the most hygienic conditions. This process, combined with a correct aging period yields what we feel is the best meat one can find. Our venison is sure to provide a memorable taste experience for you and your family.
